It’s finally the time of year when thinking about bathing suits doesn’t make you want to live inside of a Snuggie while cuddling a pot of hot tea for a month. In fact, thanks to global warming, tomorrow Seattle will heat up to 81ºF, which will surely kill us all.
But in the meantime, let’s talk bikinis! I’ve been a fan ever since I decided to shirk my body image issues and stop worrying so much about what people thought of my body. I love using bikini tops as faux bras in the summertime, especially wearing them under billowing or oversized shirts that would otherwise be too “indecent.” Having a collection of bikini tops has definitely improved and influenced my summer wardrobe.
Whenever there is a “mix’n’match” option on the racks, I lunge for it. This frequently means that individual pieces are less expensive (because they’re not part of a set) and you get more control over how you want your swimsuit to look! There’s no worrying about what to do when you love the top but hate the bottom, or love the bottoms but hate the top… They all come in a ton of different colors, o you can custom-create your own bikini at will.
ASOS is having a sale seemingly always and this time, they have a major target on swimwear. Particularly mix’n’match swimwear.
Above, you have some of the styles available in bikini tops. From left to right: Twist Bandeau with Tie Back priced between $6 and $26, the incredible Cross Back Triangle Top priced between $9 and $22, the Longline Fuller Bust (D-F) Bandeau priced between $15 and $30, another color of the Twist Bandeau with Tie Back, and lastly the Triangle T-Back Top priced between $6 and $26. Prices vary from color to color, so be sure you see all of your options first!
Naturally, with bikini tops come bikini bottoms. Instead of plastering a ton of pictures of awkward midsections onto the page, I’ll just tell you that they have everything from high waisted bikini bottoms (available in charming watermelon print) to Brazilian micro side-tie bikini bottoms. There’s a flavor for everyone.
TIP: If you see a “Mix’n’Match” button below any of the items, click it to see all of the pieces available in that color or print!
