c.Booth has been on my list of brands to try for ages. I’ve never been a huge body lotion fan, but there was something about c.Booth’s approach to skin hydration that made me want to see if their message of “simple, authentic, trusted” skincare. To celebrate their new available at Target stores, they sent over three of their best-sellers to help me get acquainted with the brand.
For some reason, I was under the impression that c.Booth products were way more expensive than they actually are. I was thinking they were mid-range when, really, they’re priced at drugstore prices for… reasons I’m not entirely sure about. The brand always reminds me of really clean European girls who always wash their makeup off and smell like fabric softener. Something I admire in a romantic sense, and definitely don’t resemble whatsoever.
Recently, c.Booth was picked up by Target and is now distributed – along with this shiny new package redesign – on the honorable shelves of their beauty and self-care sections.
As far as scrubs go, this bottle is a game-changer. Instead of having to scoop out or dig up scrub from a jar or tub container, all you have to do is squeeze a tablespoon or so into your palm and scrub away. The feeling it leaves on your skin afterwards isn’t typical of a “cleanser,” but it’s definitely nice! I don’t think I would use this alone as a cleanser, though. First and foremost, it’s a scrub.
Walnut Shell Cleansing Scrub, $5.99 for 16 oz. at Target
The scent is definitely unbelievable. Kind of sweet, but definitely earthy and a tiny bit floral. It’s not a food smell, but it’s also not not a food smell. I would buy this scent in a candle, a shampoo, a laundry detergent – whatever. It’s delicious.
Also, this bottle is huge. Definitely the largest of the three c.Booth products I was given, and doesn’t even break $10. Can this be real?! The pump is also a huge plus.
After a few uses, I happened to wash my hands within 15 minutes or so of applying and the way that the water almost beaded up on my skin really caught my attention. This lotion makes my skin feel so hydrated, and while I think the beading had more to do with the delicious coating it left on my skin, I couldn’t but feel like moisture was really locked in to my skin.

Oh – and sorry about all the Français… your friend Lindsay forgot that the English words were on the other side for this one…
…Aaaaand the next one:
Here we have a multi-use cream disguised as a body lotion. You’d never know it, but this body lotion is packed with glycolic acid which helps to exfoliate skin and remove dead cells, and on top of that, it has just a hint of mica shimmer which leaves your skin extra radiant.
Keep an eye on social media for more about the Peppermint Vanilla Body Lotion – you just might get the opportunity to try it yourself, if you know what I mean!
