Can someone tell me why more glasses don’t have cuter names? I’m about to show you the cutest glasses in the world and the only thing I have to call them is #F1005.
#F1005 can’t even be turned into a cute nickname. These are my third pair of glasses from Firmoo (the first pair of glasses from Firmoo were my hands-down favorite for months) and, once again, they did not disappoint.
If I were to give these glasses a name, I would call them the Middle-Aged Rizzo because these prescription glasses are exactly what she would wear once her eyesight really started to go in her late 40s. There’s no way she’s getting rid of that Pink Lady jacket and these are easily the best accessory. No, but really, Garnet & Gold would be a perfect name for these.
They’re definitely the first prescription glasses I’ve ever dared to wear that have anywhere near a pink hue. I never thought I was a pink girl until I hit 29 or so and started to have this weird empathy for this cute and lovable color that I’d spent most of my life hating. Nowadays, I’m embracing the pink. And if anyone uses “embracing the pink” for any kind of pornography marketing, I’m going to need royalties.
They’re somewhere between a wayfarer shape and a cat eye. Nothing is too dramatic, as far as the shape goes. The color, on the other hand, is so incredibly beautiful and rosy, fading from a transparent cream color on the bottom to a deep, garnet red at the top. The corners of the glasses are embellished with a shiny, bright gold wings which kind of act like parentheses for your eyes.
In the past, my glasses have been big, heavy wayfarer shapes that almost always err on the side of masculine, so I wasn’t sure if I would like these hyper-feminine glasses (which Firmoo still progressively labels “unisex”). Once I put them on, I was amazed at how they transformed my face!
Usually, my glasses make my face look very severe and dramatic. What I’m saying is, it really highlights my RBF (Resting Bitch Face) and while I don’t mind that at all, it’s really nice to feel like I actually might look soft and inviting for a change. The way these glasses have a light, clear color at the bottom makes so much more of my face visible! See my cheekbones? Yeah, there’s usually part of some thick Daria glasses there.
These glasses put me right into the vintage-retro mindset and all of a sudden, an insane need for peachy orange lipstick came over me, and I was fortunate enough to have a strange gold curtain nearby. I actually combined lipsticks for the first time! Two Butter London Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons, in Tea With The Queen and Trout Pout!
As usually, Firmoo delivered these glasses to me in a beautifully badass case featuring a vintage style map of the world with their brand name embossed really subtly on the top. Also included: an excellent lens cleaning cloth and a keychain mini screwdriver set.
Ready for the best part? These beauties are only $29. (Plus, you get an extra 15% off when you sign up for their newsletter!) Firmoo regularly updates their massive inventory and have a Daily New section where you can see their new arrivals before they get all snapped up!
