Over and over, I read about how glycolic acid (one of the famous Alpha Hydroxy Acids or AHAs) is a must-have for skincare arsenals. You have to be a little bit careful because it can cause sun sensitivity, but the exfoliation effects, cell renewal and its ability to help diminish fine lines are worth it, in my opinion. Just add sunscreen after you use it!
Drying Lotion, $17 $12.75
I’ve seen this product in beauty shops for a long time, but I’m not gonna lie to you, I didn’t know how to use it until I saw it on Kylie’s Snapchat. I know. I’m unbearably embarrassed, but it is what it is. Now I know that you take a Q-tip, dip it in the solution and grab some of the pink stuff at the bottom – don’t shake it! It’s supposed to be separate. Then, apply it to new blemishes on your face before bed and they’ll dry right up. It’s loaded with salicylic acid which is a notorious acne ass-kicker.
Flower & Tonic Mask, $18 $13.50
This mask is full of Kaolin clay, which is an excellent way to clear out pores. This one in particular has a beautiful Gardenia scent, and ingredients that will leave your skin glowing thanks to the titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which also help make this mask thick and luscious.
Buttermilk Moisturizer, $18 $13.50
Who doesn’t like the sound of a “buttermilk moisturizer?” This moisturizer is also loaded with AHAs, but unlike the glycolic cleanser from above, this moisturizer favors lactic acid which is a powerful exfoliant that’s best left on the skin (instead of washed off). In addition to that, it’s also got an anti-inflammatory that will help keep redness at bay.
Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater, $7 $5.25
This spray is great for anything that needs a little bit of hydration – including your hair! Aloe, rosewater, and thyme are just a few of the ingredients that make this botanical spray great for your skin. Not only does it smell fantastic, but it’s got ingredients that will totally eliminate that tight feeling you get when your skin dries out – perfect for right after a deep clean or heavy mask!
