I’ve been using the same tube of Smashbox 24 Hour eye primer for over a year. Granted, I keep it for special occasions for some reason – I should stop that. It’s really nice and thick, sticky enough for loose pigments or glitter, and really does last all day. In fact, depending on what kind of shadows you use it with, it can be kind of a beast to get off.

“Kakadu” is a type of plum that’s very rich in Vitamin C. These are little, individually wrapped pads that contain an extracting of the Kakadu plum as well as tons of AHA and BHA to help renew your skin and slough off any deadness. These are supercharged, but those with sensitive skin shouldn’t worry – it’s hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and non-irritating.

Palette alert! I am an eyeshadow palette lover, and it’s really hard for me to resist them when they’re on sale. This palette is heavy on the cool blues, peach and taupe shades which is really pretty and definitely wearable.

The palette also comes with a dual-ended eyeshadow brush, and a black pencil liner.

After this whole liquid lipstick tornado picked up me up threw me around, I’m kind of missing my old NYX Matte tubes. Matte lipstick is so beautiful when it isn’t dried liquid, and $11 for these highly rated Too Faced lippies is a crazy good deal.

This eyeliner is not for the faint of heart. I’ve tried out a sample of this gel-liquid hybrid and it’s the real deal. The formula is thick, matte, and stays put but it can be kind of a bear to apply if you don’t have perfectly smooth eyelids. That being said, the old “pull at the temple to stretch the eyelid” trick works just fine, though, and when you see this stuff on your eye you are going to fall in love with how deep and matte it is. Just make sure you come armed with patience.

Even as young as 24, I had friends who worked in high end cosmetics that were obsessed with this line of skincare from Philosophy.

This is kind of a cool beauty nerd thing: Lipstick Queen founder Poppy King helped to formulate this lipstick to be the perfect shade to wear with blue jeans and denim. The specific shade of red was used because it offsets the cool blues in denim and in turn “lights up” your whole face! My guess is that it highlights the warm tones in your face because it’s kind of a cooler, terracotta red… Probably makes your teeth look super-white. I really want to try it out!
