Aren’t sweatshirts great? They keep you warm, conceal almost your entire body, and are easy to disappear into when you want/need to hide.

Lately, all I want to do was live in my sweatshirts. I don’t know if it’s the climate of the Pacific Northwest, or the climate our national politics, but I’ve officially been in a rut. Warmer temperatures mean I can finally get back outside and start functioning like a normal person, but it’s still snowing periodically – warmth is several weeks away. In the meantime, just encase me fully in something big and comfy and wake me up when it’s sunny.

My rut is starting to becoming so monotonous and boring that I’m finally ready to battle my way out of it. After all, spring is coming! Help is on the way! It’s still light out at 5:30pm and wow, that is game-changer. It can’t come soon enough, either. I’ve been having way too many staring contests with the various walls in my house, and have become way too invested in Tumblr.

Sweatshirts are going to be integral to this out-of-rut transition, I think, because, well – first of all, I can’t seem to take them off. Secondly, they’re warm, and it’s still really cold outside. Also, sweatshirts are cute now, so it’s not that far-fetched to think of them as fashion staples.
