It’s been ages since I stepped into a Cost Plus World Market, and I constantly forget that you can shop all of their goodies easily through their website. In high school, there was a Cost Plus right next to my local Target where my friends and I congregated weekly to pay homage to the teen fashion gods. I would ignore it for months and then wander in only to remember – oh yeah, I love everything in this entire store.

Then when I started getting into cooking and photography, Cost Plus was my go-to for interesting plates, cool looking glassware and random pretty stuff that had absolutely nothing to do with cooking or photography. I ended up with an amazing mug collection, the most awesome linens and trinkets, and some seriously hardworking kitchen tools.

While posting about the Cost Plus World Market Friends & Family sale on the Sale Calendar, I realized that, once again, I’d let a year pass without checking in with my easy-to-forget semi-favorite store. All it took was three clicks before I was surrounded in a digital palace full of my favorite, ultra-affordable, not completely necessary home goods and housewares.

Blue Pressed Glassware Collection

Since pretty much everything is 30% off during this sale (coupon code is in the Sale Calendar post), we might as well get into some trouble at Cost Plus World Market. This trouble is slightly hypothetical, though, as I’m just filling up my cart with everything that I want to buy. Whether or not I actually go through with it has yet to be determined…

What’s in My Cart at Cost Plus World Market:

Cactus Plates
Set of 4

$31.96 $22.37

Cactus Icon Plates
Set of 2

$15.98 $11.19

Cactus Melamine Serving Platter
$19.99 $13.99

There areĀ far too many of these cactus-themed plates, and they are priced far too low for me to resist them. After the Bombsheller Succulence collection reignited my love for cacti, I can perfectly see these plates living in my kitchen cabinet and used frequently.

Black Accordion Metal Sconce
$59.99 $41.99

Who wouldn’t love to add a little bit of functionality mixed with style to their office, kitchen, or crafting area?! This thing reminds me of a mix of Inspector Gadget and pretty much every detective mystery novel ever. It can be pushed fully against the wall for a more traditional sconce look, but I think it probably looks the most awesome when it’s being used, so get creative with it!

Large White Ceramic Baker with Oak Wood Trivet Lid
$24.99 $17.49

There is an immense weakness within me for baking dishes that double as serving dishes, and this particular model was clearly designed with my weaknesses in mind. Despite their lack of long term cleanliness, white baking dishes are one of my favorites. Plus, when they do get dirty, I kind of love the baked on, burnt patina that they start to develop. This one comes with a “lid” that looks mostly functional as a trivet, but either way, it’s a beautiful piece of oak hardwood that really makes the ceramic pop.

Marbled Carmen Stemless Wine Glasses
Set of 4
$27.96 $19.57

Seagrass Wrapped Old Fashioned Glasses
Set of 4
$27.96 $19.57

Game of Thrones Targaryan Stemless Wine Glasses
Set of 2

$19.99 $13.99

Copper Stemless Wine Glasses
Set of 4
$23.96 $16.77

?There’s a discrepancy between how much I want all of these glasses, how many friends I have, and how much wine I drink. Fortunately, Cost Plus has tons of cocktail glasses for everything from a French 75 to a Sazerac, so the glasses like those seagrass wrapped beauties are bountiful. But if you’re a vino person, man… you’re in for the selection of your life! Plus, there are a full range of Game of Thrones glasses for, you know, people who drink and know things.

Brass Pour Over Coffee Dripper Stand
$39.99 $27.99

My family would be concerned about me if I didn’t include this incredible pour-over coffee system. This is one of those dripper units that slowly filter the water through carefully weighed coffee grounds. The coolest part is that it’s adjustable, so you can make a single cup, or move the dripping unit up higher to accommodate an entire carafe for brunch or Mondays or whatever. Plus, it looks super cool as a display piece!

This sale ends tomorrow, and if you want all of the The Nitty Gritty, including free shipping threshold, coupon code, and exclusions, and even more good buys, check out the Cost Plus World Market Friends & Family Sale on the Sale Calendar!
