Macy’s “Impulse” department tapped Chanel designer, Karl Lagerfeld, to create a beautiful, affordable capsule collection featuring perfectly tailored dresses and edgy separates. Everything from leggings to jackets will be available once the collection hits 235 Macy’s stores, and macys.com, on August 31, 2011.

Is this a collection you’d buy? It’s a limited run, so I don’t think that the option of finding a gem on a sales rack is really available.

I’m nuts about that blush dress – how gorgeous! It reminds me of the dresses the women in the 1940s wore in the summertime. The color is so beautifully neutral, I’d love to see it paired with really pigmented, muted jewel tone tights (like Jen’s We Love Colors tights). What about you?
